Jean-Baptiste Belin de Fontenay was a student and assistant of Jean Baptiste Monnoyer. He became a member of the Paris Academy in 1687. Belins masterpieces include the decorations for the royal palaces at Versailles, Marly, Trianon, Compi�gne, and Fontainebleau.
