Walking in the Park

Among the Czech painters, Anton�n Slav�ček was the closest to Impressionism of the French kind, though it was not till 1907 that he visited France. From the 1890s on, Slav�ček’s subject matter, relaxed brushwork, bright colours, and even structures were strongly reminiscent of Pissarro.
