Scene from the Life of St Benedict

The Venetian artist Antonio Solario (called Lo Zingaro) painted twenty scenes from the life of St Benedict in the Chiostro del Platano in Naples. That cloister was part of the former Benedictine monastery of Saints Severino and Sossio. The present scene depicts the miracle of the colander.
