BLEYSWIJCK, Cornelis Adriaensz van

Dutch goldsmith. He was active in Delft, apprenticed in 1605, became master in 1619 and died in 1648. He worked in the auricular style which emerged before 1610 and is typical of the most spectacular Dutch silver of the first half of the seventeenth century.

Ewer and basin

Cornelis Adriaensz van Bleyswijck was a goldsmith in Delft, who apprenticed in 1605, became master in 1619 and died in 1648. This ewer and basin were made in the auricular style which emerged before 1610 and is typical of the most spectacular Dutch silver of the first half of the seventeenth century, especially the work of the famous silversmiths Adam van Vianen in Utrecht and Johannes Lutma in Amsterdam.
