Dutch goldsmith. He was apprentice in Delft in 1579 and became a master goldsmith in 1591. He is recorded in Delft until 1614.
Tazza
Probably made to hold wine, ornamental tazzas like this example from Delft were a widespread type of silver drinking vessel in early-seventeenth-century Holland. Because they were decorated with figural reliefs, ornamental tazzas tend to be unique pieces, and they are usually listed in contemporary inventories alone or in pairs.
