The building was commissioned by Mariano Fuster from Mallorca. The works began in 1908, and the Fuster i Fabra family occupied its first floor in 1911. That year, Casa Fuster was considered the most expensive house in the city due to the material used in its construction, among them white marble of the highest quality.
The Casa Fuster is a mature work executed in Dom�nech i Montaner’s decorative so-called ‘floral’ style. It was designed with three fa�ades of considerable impact due to their details and expressiveness.
In 2000, the building was renovated and transformed into a hotel.
