Hygieia

The statue of Hygieia is the sculptor’s most important, and most purely Neoclassical work. It forms the centrepiece of the fountain in Vienna’s Währingerstrasse. Her calm pose and the closed contour show Fischer at the peak of his sculptural abilities.
