San Marcello al Corso: Façade

This church is dedicated to Pope Marcellus (308-9). The present fa�ade was designed by Carlo Fontana and built between 1682 and 1686. The church was then judged to be finished, and finally consecrated in 1592. The curved (concave) late Baroque fa�ade is considered one of the finest works of Fontana.
