Ceremonial staff

This ceremonial staff is one of the few well-documented silver objects from the period of Netherlandish Gothic. It is the work of Johannes Vuystinck, the founding father of a large family of goldsmiths active in Utrecht and The Hague up to the end of the 17th century.
